Initial Consultation
At your initial treatment, I will gather information about your past and current medical history, diet, overall lifestyle, as well as your personal reason for coming to reflexology. Do you have back pain you need to work on? Are you just looking to relax? This process only takes around 15 minutes and makes sure I give you the most personalised reflexology experience possible. No individual is the same, so I make sure each treatment is unique as well!
First Treatment
You will need to remove your shoes and socks and lie down on a relaxing massage bed. Your feet will be wiped down by a warm flannel with some organic luxury balm being applied to aid the movement of my hands. This will be followed by an exploratory treatment during which pressure is applied to your feet, lower legs, or hands, depending on the treatment you require. I will use my thumbs, fingers, or knuckles to identify areas of imbalance/tension and unblock these congested channels, letting energy flow more freely through your body.
Further Sessions
Following this investigatory treatment, I will tell you what I’ve found and discuss with you a bespoke treatment plan that works for you, along with some home care suggestions. We will discuss your health and overall wellbeing each session to check the reflexology is working. Are you feeling more relaxed? Have your pain levels gone down? Doing this allows us to amend your treatment plan accordingly and guarantee you are receiving the treatment you need.
How Will I Feel Afterwards?
Amazing, of course! By the end of your treatment you will be in a blissfully relaxed state, with your mind and body back in harmony. You may have even dosed off! After treatment, some people need to go the toilet more often, or experience mild headaches, which is a good thing – it is a sign that the treatment has worked and that waste products are leaving your body!
